ACTG 151 Accounting I - Financial

This course will be delivered using the ANGEL course management system.  After registering, read the webpage "How to Use ANGEL For Your Course" and follow the step-by-step directions. Internet courses cannot be accessed until the first day of your class.  Once your class begins you must log on to participate.

The textbook for this course has been customized and packaged with the required course supplemental software access code for My Accounting Lab.  The custom package is only available in the LCCC Bookstore. The textbook is Accounting by Horngren and Harrison, 8th edition Pearson-Prentice Hall Publishing, 2009. This book can be purchased from other vendors; however, you will have to purchase the My Accounting Lab access code separately, from Pearson-Prentice Hall.  Please note that earlier editions of this textbook will not work for this class.

BADM 251 – Principles of Management

The required textbook is Jones, George, Contemporary Management 6th edition, packaged with access cards to Connect Plus and Premium On-Line Web Content.  You will find this package at the Lorain County Community College bookstore.  To help keep the textbook cost down, an unbound copy of the text is packaged with these 2 on-line access cards.  It is essential that you are able to run this program because it will be part of your learning experience.  If you purchase the textbook from a vendor outside of the LCCC bookstore, you must buy the access code to this program, from McGraw Hill.

You will need to have access to MS Word 2.0 or higher for all course assignments. You cannot use any other software because I may be unable to translate the file into a readable document. Sending assignments as email messages is not acceptable in this course.

This course uses a blended mode of instruction that includes the textbook, Internet, and video supplements. The videos are available via videostreaming; however, a high-speed Internet connection is required to view the videostream. Once you have logged into your class, you will receive an email from your instructor containing an ID and password that will enable you to view the videos.

Required text: Entrepreneurship, Barringer and Ireland, second edition 2008, Pearson-Prentice Hall Publishing Company, ISBN # 978-013-224057-4. The textbook is available in the LCCC Bookstore, as well as at various online distributors.
